Funds to Help Build the First Birth Center!

Hispañola Health Partners is bringing professional midwifery care to their remote corner of Haiti, where currently most infants come into the world aided only with herbal teas and the ancient chants of a traditional healer. To join them on this journey just click  "view items" above to access the auction; treat yourself to a rejuvenating pleasure trip, decorate your digs or pick up some unique holiday gifts while supporting a great cause.   

With the help of generous donors and the local community, Hispañola Health Partners has built a regional medical center including pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory, full time physician and outreach programs for hypertension and cervical cancer prevention. These programs serve about 25,000 subsistence farmers in an area that was previously without medical care.

Now the goal is to ensure that every mother and every baby has a safe birth with skilled care. Hispañola Health Partners, the medical center staff and patients send heartfelt thanks for your support. They cannot do this work without you!
